Searching for Apps can be a time-consuming business. Once you know the title of an App, you can search for it in iTunes and download it, but there's no way to tell how useful the app is until you trial it yourself. There are a growing number of "Recommended Apps" lists and blog posts written by education practitioners that give you far more information about an app and how you might use it, even what it looks like, than you will find in the iTunes App store.
